Lunchroom Legends

Lunchroom Legends

Students who have shown outstanding lunchroom expectations will be recognized!  If a table remains on the green cone that is on their table, they will write their name on a piece of paper and put it in a bucket with their grade on it.  Miss Holl will pick 3 names from each grade’s bucket bucket for each lunch period on Fridays and then those students will get to have a big paw magnet on their locker for the next week.   The student’s picture will be taken and then displayed on a bulletin board for the week.

Fisher Fantastic Notes

The Fisher Fantastic notepads have arrived!!!!   All staff have Fisher Fantastic notepads. When a staff member observes a student following the rules, the student gets “caught” with a "Fisher Fantastic". The Student will then take the "Fisher Fantastic Note" to the principal, or the office, and the student receives a sticker to wear all day.

Return of the CATS PAWS

May is almost here!  With it comes the return of the PAWS!!

For the month of May, students can receive a blue or red (it doesn’t matter which) paw for doing any of the 4 R’s.  The bigger paws that say “Fisher CATS” can be given to a whole class for working together to do one of the 4 R’s.  Molly has big paws drawn on paper for you to hang in your classrooms.  As students receive paws, they can be taped onto the large outline paw, just as we did back in September.
The paws will be available in the workroom.
The 4 R’s are:
1) Ready to Learn
2) Ready for Safety
3) Responsible
4) Respectful

What are Students saying about Fisher CATS

Fisher CAT Expectations  by Kylee
Great Fisher Cats believe in our school motto. Amazing Fisher Cats respect, know, and use the 4 R’s in our school motto. When we have monthly assemblies the Caring Active Thinking Students work hard to polish their assembly behavior. We have monthly rewards for our students to help eliminate bullying! Our happy teachers help our Fisher CATS from being hurt by others. At Fisher School there are creative students, helpful teachers, and a lot of almost perfect people who teach kids how to learn! Are you a cool Fisher CAT?

Fisher CAT Expectations by Mario
At Fisher Elementary School we all believe in being Caring Active thinking Students and Staff. We try hard to follow the 4 R’s which stand for R---eady to learn, R---eady for safety, R---esponsible, R---espectful CATS! We follow this belief in the classroom, at recess, and everywhere we go. Sometimes we make poor choices and need to review our jobs with our teachers. That is always helpful so we can get back on the right track. I work hard to come to school ready to learn each day. Do you?

Fisher CAT Expectations by Cole
Great Fisher CATS believe in our wonderful school. All kids should follow the 4R’s so they can learn the most possible before going on to the next grade each year! Our teachers work hard to plan great lessons for learning, create cool projects to challenge our minds, and let us explore many things so we can learn. Eating in the room is one of my favorite activities when I know I have worked hard to earn this! Have you gotten to eat in your classroom lately?

Fisher School Expectations by Isaac
Great Fisher Kids believe in our school motto! The golden rule as well as following integrity helps me to remember what my job is each day that I come to school to learn in third grade! That way I know if I need help I can prevent being bullied just by being a reporter or asking my teacher to help me if I get into a sticky situation and am not sure what to do. Our school works hard each month to recognize kids doing the right thing! We believe in each other and work together to make sure this happens. I bet all kids wish they could come to Fisher!

We also have monthly rewards to notice students who are doing well, working hard, and learning the most they can learn! I hope you like Fisher School just as much as I do???

Fisher School kids know how to behave so they can learn! We, at Fisher, have a motto that we follow everyday for the 4R’s. We must practice being Ready to Learn, Ready for safety, responsible, and Respectful so that we can reach our goals. Our wonderful school offers kids the chance to earn cool Cat stickers, get punches on our Bobcat punch cards, or deliver Cat compliments for just a few examples. We are called Fisher CATS because we are Caring, Active, thinking, Students! Go Fisher Cats Go!

April's Tracking CATS Compliments

April is almost here, and with it comes another incentive.  Attached you will find suggestions on how to teach kids to give compliments.

Tracking Class CAT Compliments:
1) Have a class discussion on how to give compliments.
2) Students need to keep track of the compliments they give throughout the day.  They can write this down or keep in their memory banks.
3) At the end of each day, students can fill in/color in one star for each compliment they gave on the class paw.  They can tell the class what it was.
4) Teachers can individually decide if they want to award something tangible once a class paw is filled in or not.  This is being left up to each teacher because we wanted to focus this month on intrinsic rewards (feeling good for doing the right thing whether an award is given or not).
5) If you heard of any really “cool” compliments that students gave, feel free to record them and pass them onto me.  We would like to share some of them at our next assembly.
6) Paras, specialists, interventionists: We want you to be involved too!  Please let a teacher know if you heard a compliment from a student that you really liked.  It can be student to student OR student to teacher.  The teacher can make sure that a star gets filled in for it.
7) Remember to print a new paw with stars if you fill one up!!

As always, please let us know if you have any questions!

Happy Complimenting!
